About This Trip
If you want a taste of Uttarakhand’s hill stations, spiritual centers, and adventure sports without committing to a full trek, this 7-day circuit through Dehradun, Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Haridwar — from ₹25,000 per person — covers exactly that ground.
Dehradun and Mussoorie
The tour opens in Dehradun, Uttarakhand’s capital, with stops at Tapkeshwar Temple, Robber’s Cave and the Forest Research Institute before heading up to Mussoorie — the colonial-era “Queen of the Hills.” Two full days here take in Gun Hill, Kempty Falls, Lal Tibba (one of the best panoramic Himalayan viewpoints in the region), and a quieter walk along Camel’s Back Road.
Rishikesh: spirituality and adventure side by side
Rishikesh is where this tour’s pace picks up. Beyond its reputation as a global yoga and meditation destination, it’s also one of India’s most established white-water rafting hubs, and the itinerary includes a rafting session on the Ganges alongside optional bungee jumping and zip-lining for those wanting an extra adrenaline hit. The evening Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, and a stroll across the iconic Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula suspension bridges, balance the adventure with Rishikesh’s quieter, more contemplative side.
Haridwar: the spiritual finale
The tour closes in Haridwar, one of Hinduism’s seven holiest cities, with visits to the hilltop Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples and the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri — among the most atmospheric aartis in North India, drawing large crowds nightly regardless of season.
Difficulty and who it suits
This is an easy circuit built around sightseeing, temple visits, and optional adventure activities rather than trekking. It suits families, first-time visitors to Uttarakhand, and anyone wanting to combine spiritual sites with a manageable dose of adventure sport. Travellers who do want a trekking component can add one on — Kedarkantha and Deoriatal-Chopta both pair naturally with this circuit.
Best time to visit
March to June and September to November offer the most reliable weather across all four stops — comfortable temperatures in Dehradun and Haridwar, good rafting water levels in Rishikesh, and clear Himalayan views from Mussoorie. Winter brings cold, occasionally foggy conditions to Mussoorie, and the monsoon months carry landslide risk on the hill roads between destinations.
What’s included
The package covers 6 nights in 3-star hotels, a private taxi for the full tour, daily breakfast, river rafting in Rishikesh, and entry fees to major attractions. Optional add-ons like bungee jumping, zip-lining, and yoga/wellness sessions are available at extra cost — ask our team when booking if you’d like these included.
